Kanye West, also known as Ye, marked his 49th birthday by releasing a new visual project and confirming the release date for the deluxe edition of his latest album.
The rapper unveiled “GEMINI SEASON” on June 8 alongside a video directed by and featuring his wife, Bianca Censori. The release arrived as Ye celebrated his birthday during a performance in Amsterdam as part of his ongoing overseas tour.
The track serves as a brief musical preview rather than a full-length song. Built around horn and wind instrumentation with no drums, the record features Ye delivering melodic vocals. On the chorus, he sings, “I wanna get kinky/ I think she’ll let me/ I think she’s pretty/ I think she’s ready.”
The accompanying video centres on Censori, who appears in a white outfit while seated on a bar stool in front of a cow.
The visual, filmed against a stylised backdrop featuring mountainous scenery and artificial moving clouds, has drawn comparisons to the aesthetic of Ye’s “Bound 2” video from the Yeezus era.
Ye appears near the end of the clip, joining Censori in the closing scenes. The video was released through his official channels and quickly attracted attention from fans following the artist’s latest creative projects.
The YouTube description for “GEMINI SEASON” revealed plans for the deluxe edition of BULLY to arrive on June 19.
BULLY was released on March 28 through Larry Jackson’s Gamma and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning 152,000 total album units.
Ye is scheduled to continue his tour with a concert in Georgia on June 12 before returning to the United States for two performances in Tampa Bay later this month.
