Florence + The Machine also performed the ‘Dance Fever’ track on the US show

Nick Kroll performed a dance to Florence + The Machine’s “King” in front of Florence Welch on The Late Late Show this week.

On Tuesday (October 11), the comedian and actor (Big Mouth, Don’t Worry Darling) appeared on the US chat show, where he was interviewed alongside Welch by host James Corden.

During the chat, Kroll stated that he was a “big fan” of Welch’s music and shared a “weird story” about taking a dance class while in lockdown. “It was me, two other guys, and like 45 women,” he remembered.

“The song that [the choreographer] chose was a song called ‘King’ by Florence + The Machine. So we did a little choreography and learned that, and it was very inspiring.”

Corden then asked Kroll if he remembered any of the dances and began playing the relevant track. Welch encouraged the actor to start showing off his moves. “You got it – that’s it!” Welch applauded.

Florence + The Machine also performed “King” live on The Late Late Show. You can watch the performance, as well as Welch and Kroll’s interview segments, below.

Florence + The Machine are currently on their ‘Dance Fever’ headline tour in North America. The trip will come to an end tomorrow and Saturday night (October 14/15) with two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Welch and co. will return to the UK and Ireland next month for a series of arena shows.

Meanwhile, Big Mouth’s sixth season, starring Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, and others, is set to premiere on October 28. It was recently revealed that Tyler, the Creator will appear as a guest star in one episode.

Per a Netflix synopsis, Big Mouth season six will focus on “the theme of family as the beloved characters continue each of their journeys, discovering that while you can’t always pick your family, you can surround yourself with those that love you for who you are.”
