CMA Country Christmas takes the holidays to viewers’ homes, urging them to relax and enjoy the season in a cozy and intimate atmosphere reminiscent of great Christmas television specials from the past. The show, which was shot at the Steel Mill in Nashville, Tennessee, will air on ABC at 9 p.m. ET with other artists including Old Dominion, Steven Curtis Chapman, The War and Treaty, and Molly Tuttle.
Pearce is hosting the special for the second year in a row. She co-hosted alongside Gabby Barrett in 2021. During this year’s concert, Pearce will play “Man With the Bag” in addition to “Here Comes Santa Claus.”
This year, country singers will join to perform holiday classics. Pearce will perform with Tuttle, while Jenee Fleenor will make a surprise appearance with McCreery. As part of the Country Music Association’s partnership with Balsam Hill, the show’s stage will be covered with a slew of artificial Christmas trees and another holiday décor for its 13th year.
CMA Country Christmas is a Country Music Association production. Carrie Underwood, Jimmie Allen, Louis York, The Shindellas, Breland, Brett Eldredge, Lady A, Pistol Annies, and Lainey Wilson all performed in 2021 special.
CMA Country Christmas has been ringing in the holiday season since 2010, with a show full of seasonal classics and one-of-a-kind musical acts. The CMA Awards and CMA Fest, the summer concert TV special, are both shown on ABC.
