Caitlin Clark just can’t stop breaking records. The Indiana Fever rookie sensation reached another historic milestone on Sunday, setting a new WNBA single-season rookie point record during the Fever’s nail-biting 110-109 win over the Dallas Wings.

Clark dropped a career-high 35 points in the game, bringing her total to 761 points this season, surpassing Hall of Famer Seimone Augustus’ long-standing rookie record of 744 points, set in 2006 with the Minnesota Lynx.

The game went down to the wire, with the Wings trailing by just two points in the final seconds. Fever center Aliyah Boston hit two clutch free throws with one second remaining, making a Dallas comeback impossible. Although Dallas forward Satou Sabally nailed a three-pointer at the buzzer, it wasn’t enough to overcome Indiana’s lead, securing the Fever’s 110-109 victory.

Along with her 35 points, Clark contributed three rebounds, eight assists, and three steals, while sinking six three-pointers—just one short of her career high. Kelsey Mitchell added 27 points for the Fever, while Sabally and Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 27 points each.

This season, Clark has been rewriting the record books, not only breaking rookie records but also setting new WNBA marks. In August, the 22-year-old guard broke the rookie records for assists and three-pointers before surpassing the WNBA single-season assist record on Friday. She also set the WNBA single-game assist record in July, tallying 19 assists—also against the Wings.

With the dynamic trio of Clark, Boston, and Mitchell, the Indiana Fever have broken an eight-year postseason drought, clinching a playoff spot for the first time since 2016. Sunday’s win gave the Fever their 20th victory of the season and solidified the sixth seed in the postseason.
