On Wednesday, The USA men’s basketball team rolled to a 105-79 win over Serbia in an Olympic tune-up game in Abu Dhabi. Led by Stephen Curry’s impressive performance, the Americans demonstrated their readiness for the upcoming Olympic Games.

“Vintage Steph,” USA Basketball tweeted, encapsulating Curry’s performance. The Golden State Warriors guard was in top form, leading all players with 24 points. His sharp shooting was pivotal in Team USA’s victory, particularly in the second quarter when he scored nine of his 18 first-half points in just over a minute, including a remarkable four-point play.

Joining Curry in the scoring efforts, Bam Adebayo contributed 17 points, while Anthony Davis added 7 points, 6 blocks, and 6 rebounds, showcasing his defensive prowess. Serbia’s Nikola Jokić managed 8 points and 7 rebounds but couldn’t turn the tide for his team.

The game was tightly contested in the first quarter, ending in a tie. However, Team USA began to pull away in the second quarter, thanks largely to Curry’s offensive burst. The Americans finished the first half on a 19-5 run, securing a 59-45 lead heading into the break, told NBA Sports.

The momentum continued into the second half, with Team USA outscoring Serbia 24-13 in the third quarter, extending their lead to 25 points. The final quarter saw the Americans showcasing their dominance, further building on their lead and thrilling the audience with a series of dunks led by Anthony Edwards and LeBron James.

“Looks familiar. 🐜,” USA Basketball tweeted in response to Edwards’ performance. “Showstopper. 👑✈️,” they added, highlighting LeBron’s contribution. The tweets underscored the energy and excitement brought by the team’s stars.

This victory marks Team USA’s third consecutive exhibition win, following triumphs over Canada and Australia. Their performance in these tune-up games has been promising as they prepare for the Olympic Games.

Team USA will now travel to London to complete its exhibition schedule with games against South Sudan on Saturday and Germany on Monday. These matches will be the final tests before the American men open Olympic group play on July 28 against Serbia in Lille, France, aiming for a fifth straight gold medal.

As Team USA continues its journey, fans are eagerly anticipating more “vintage” performances from Curry and the rest of the squad, hoping for another dominant run in the Olympics.
