Vice President Harris’s campaign took a jab at former President Trump over his perceived “low energy” schedule as she gears up for a multistate tour this week.

The Harris campaign posted a side-by-side comparison of her upcoming schedule and Trump’s campaign schedule. Harris’s itinerary includes stops across Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada, while Trump has a single rally planned in Bozeman, Montana.

“Low energy, @realdonaldtrump?” the campaign quipped.

As of Monday afternoon, Trump’s campaign website listed only the Bozeman rally for the week.

When reached for comment, the Trump campaign referred The Hill to a post from the Trump War Room account on X (formerly Twitter): “Fake news, bass mouth. President Trump’s schedule this week is filled with events, rallies, media interviews, and fundraisers. Kamala isn’t going to give you an interview, no matter how much you carry her water.”

Harris is kicking off her five-day, seven-state blitz in Philadelphia on Tuesday, where she is expected to introduce her vice presidential pick. She and her running mate will travel to Wisconsin and Michigan on Wednesday, North Carolina and Georgia on Thursday, Arizona on Friday, and Nevada on Saturday.

Harris recently secured enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee, and her campaign is gaining momentum. A CBS News/YouGov poll released on Sunday showed Harris with a 1-point lead over Trump nationally and tied with him in key battleground states.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), will also be on a multistate tour this week, the campaign announced Monday. Vance’s itinerary includes many of the same states as Harris. He will deliver remarks in Philadelphia on Tuesday, followed by appearances in Shelby Township, Michigan, and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Wednesday. He will then speak in North Carolina on Thursday.

As the campaigns ramp up their efforts, the contrasting schedules highlight different strategies. Harris’s extensive tour aims to solidify her presence in critical swing states, while Trump’s team emphasizes his ongoing engagement through various events, rallies, and media appearances. The race continues to heat up as both campaigns vie for voter support in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
