Beyoncé has always been known for keeping her personal life private, but in a recent interview with GQ, she offered a rare glimpse into how she balances her career and family life. The Renaissance singer reflected on the challenges of raising her three children, Blue Ivy, 12, and 7-year-old twins, Sir and Rumi, alongside her husband, Jay-Z, in a world that is increasingly dominated by technology.

“They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me,” Beyoncé shared. “Raising three kids isn’t easy, but I love it. It’s grounding and fulfilling.” Despite her packed schedule and global stardom, the singer stressed how important it is for her to create a balance between her work and family life.

One of the things Beyoncé said she prioritizes is protecting her children from the spotlight, even as her eldest, Blue Ivy, has shown a growing passion for music. “One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible,” she said.

In today’s world, where technology offers limitless access to information, Beyoncé acknowledged the challenges of raising kids in a hyper-connected era. “We live in a world of access. We have access to so much information—some facts, and some complete bulls–t disguised as truth. Our children can FaceTime and see their friends at any given moment,” she noted.

Reflecting on the early days of her relationship with Jay-Z, Beyoncé recalled how they had to work around technological limitations to stay in touch. “We used calling cards and Skype when we were falling in love. I couldn’t afford the international hotel bills, so I literally would get international calling cards to call him,” she reminisced.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been together for over two decades, weathering their share of ups and downs. They married in 2008 after collaborating on several hit songs, and continue to support each other both personally and professionally, standing side by side on red carpets and working together creatively.

As Beyoncé navigates the pressures of fame and family life, her dedication to protecting her children’s privacy while allowing them to flourish in their own ways speaks to her commitment as both an artist and a mother.
