Amy Slaton, star of 1,000-lb Sisters, is scheduled to appear in court on September 5, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Crockett County Courthouse following her arrest on charges of drug possession and child endangerment.

The reality TV star was arrested on Monday, September 2, at West Tennessee Safari Park after reportedly being bitten by a camel. According to an arrest warrant obtained by The Mirror, Slaton was charged with “knowingly and willingly” committing a Schedule I offense by possessing two psilocybin mushrooms, which were found in plain view in the front passenger compartment of her vehicle.

In addition to the mushrooms, police discovered marijuana weighing 80.68 grams in a black bag located in the front passenger seat. The warrant also indicated that Slaton had committed the offense of “child abuse, neglect, or endangerment” by having her two young children in the car where the illegal substances were found. Her sons, Gage Deon, born on November 11, 2020, and Glenn Allen Halterman, born on July 5, 2022, were present in the vehicle at the time. The drugs were reportedly in “plain view” in the passenger compartment where the children were seated.

The arrest came after local authorities received a call about Slaton being bitten by a camel at the zoo. Upon their arrival, officers conducted a search of her vehicle and discovered the illegal substances.

Slaton, 36, was not alone during the incident. She was accompanied by her friend, Brian Scott Lovvron, who was also arrested and charged with drug possession and child endangerment. Both were booked into the Crockett County Jail, each with a bond set at $10,000.

The charges against Slaton and Lovvron have sparked significant media attention, as fans of 1,000-lb Sisters follow the latest developments in her legal case. Slaton’s court appearance will determine the next steps in the case, as she faces serious charges related to drug possession and child safety.
